Publishing Ethics and Statement of Malpractice
International Journal of Contemporary Islamic Law and Society is published by the Department of Islamic Law, Postgraduate Program, State Institute for Islamic Studies Palu. The journal is published twice a year in both online and printed versions. Publishing articles in the journal reflects the quality of the authors' work and their supporting institutions. Articles undergo peer review and are expected to maintain high scientific standards. Publishing Decision
Editors are responsible for deciding which submissions are published. Decisions are guided by the quality, relevance, and legal considerations, including plagiarism, defamation, and copyright. Editors may consult other editors or reviewers for guidance.

Manuscripts are judged solely on intellectual content without discrimination based on race, gender, religion, nationality, or political beliefs.

Confidentiality
Editors and staff must maintain confidentiality and not disclose information about submitted manuscripts beyond authorized individuals.

Duties of Authors
- Reporting Standards: Authors must provide accurate accounts of their research and objective discussion of its significance.
- Data Access and Retention: Authors should provide raw data for editorial review and retain data for reasonable time after publication.
- Originality and Plagiarism: Manuscripts must be original; all sources properly cited.
- Multiple or Redundant Publication: Submitting the same manuscript to multiple journals concurrently is unethical.
- Acknowledgement of Sources: Proper citation of influential work is mandatory.
- Authorship: Only those who contributed significantly should be listed as authors; all must approve submission.
- Conflicts of Interest: All financial or substantive conflicts must be disclosed.
- Fundamental Errors: Authors must notify editors promptly of errors in published work.
- Hazards and Human/Animal Subjects: Any unusual hazards must be clearly described.

- Acknowledgement of Sources: Reviewers must identify relevant work not cited by authors and report overlaps.
